respresents the paintings and quilt work of Bay Area, California artist, Mary Barry. She has been living and creating in the Bay Area for over 15 years. The area allows Mary access to inspiration from the Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, the farms of the Central Valley and much more. As the seasons change, so do the beautiful colors of the surrounding hills and fields. Roaming around looking at the flora and fauna, as well as the many colorful characters provide endless ideas for Mary to draw upon.
Her work has been featured in several art shows, quilt shows and galleries in Vacaville, Sacramento and beyond. She frequently participates in local art guilds and quilt groups, helping others discover their visions through many mediums - painting, sketching, quilt patterns, fabric arts, and most recently her "3D" quilts. Mary continues to reinvent herself and her art by trying new methods in all her creative forms.
In autumn of 2009, her work will be featured at the Vacaville Art Gallery. She will also be showing her "The Kiss" quilt in the International Quilt Fests in Chicago, Long Beach and Houston.
